There is shopping on the old town square and you wouldn't want to leave without taking the free Jack Daniel's Distillery Tour and eating lunch at the Famous Miss Bobo's (reservations are required for Miss Bobo's). It's truly stepping back in time to visit Lynchburg.
Lynchburg, Tenn. is a wonderful place to visit, and yes, it's a dry county. It is ironic that the number one whiskey in the world is distilled in a county where you cannot "legally" buy it. You can purchase commerative bottles at the Jack Daniel Visitor Center, but nothing else.
The Dry County Still General Store is on the south side of the square in Lynchburg, Tennessee and specializes in hard to find, nostalogic items such as the finest soy candles, candies, toys, gourmet foods, etc. Stop by for free samples of the best Lynchburg Whiskey Fudge available. It can only be purchased at the Dry County Still. Also, don’t leave without getting some Tennessee Toe Jam and Moonshine Jelly. |
